  • How you'll get it

    To achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training, learners must achieve the below mandatory units:

    • Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Health
    • Health, Safety and Welfare in a Fitness Environment
    • Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health
    • Know How to Support Clients Who Take Part in Exercise and Physical Activity
    • Applying the Principles of Nutrition to a Physical Activity Programme
    • Programming Personal Training with Clients
    • Delivering Personal Training

    These units will be assessed through a range of methods, including a portfolio (workbook), online multiple choice exam and practical assessment

  • When you'll get it

    The Level 3 Diploma in Fitness and Personal Training is a self-paced course, meaning learners can qualify as quickly or as long as they'd like. On average we estimate a 12 week completion for those who can commit to around an hours study 4-5 days a week.

  • After you've got it

    This qualification is fully endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). Learners who achieve this qualification are eligible to become a fitness instructor or personal trainer and become a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). As a personal trainer, learners could progress directly into employment in a variety of contexts, which include:

    • Specialist personal training studios
    • Independent/self-employed/mobile/home-based training settings
    • Television, media and fitness
